My name is Dalhia and I am a graphic designer and an artist. My graphic design work is created on a computer and has to be organized and preplanned. My fine art work is not planned out ahead, it is created intuitively. I usually have an idea and it develops as I work. There is always a concept I want to explore or an experiment I want to try.
My work is a process where I investigate my inner and outer world in order to communicate intellectually and emotionally through color, texture and imagery. I primarily work with watermedia. It is the general term for media that are distinguished from oil or other media by being able to be diluted with water when used. Watermedia includes watercolor, ink, gouache, pastel, charcoal, acrylic and pencil. |
